This post and the collage I made is on helping your environment and caring for it. All you have to do is pick up trash and making your home beautiful and clean. I live by the sea and there are trash on the sand…so sometimes when I’m bored I go and pick bottles up and things like that. It’s a shame that people sometimes don’t care whether or not their surroundings are clean. This poster hopefully will help a bit.

Also to help clean up doesn’t take much…

All you need is a trash bag and maybe gloves…

Even if you only help a bit…that’s helping a lot already…

I think that on our island…the amount of trash is not much but in other places…there’s a lot of trash which makes pollution towards the air and ocean…the animals die and humans also DIE so help and save yourselves!!!!

As almost teenagers, you’re all at an age when things are changing within your body and your mind. You’re no longer little kids, yet you’re not really teenagers yet. The way people (your teachers, parents, etc.) treat you is also slowly changing. You used to be more pampered and watched over. Now you’re expected to all be independent and responsible. You have projects to complete, assignments to turn in, practices to go to, friends to meet, and so many other deadlines and such to accomplish.
Given these expectations of you, think about the questions below and answer them honestly in your own blogs as a new post.

1. Do you think your parents can / should trust you with things that you do in school, at home, and else where? Why do you think so? or Why not?

Yes, because if your parents always thinks that what you do is always a question mark then the kids can get mad at the parents for always not trusting him/her. It’s hard being a parent.  Also the kid might get stressed out.
2. Do you think your teachers can / should trust you with things that you do in school (regular schoolwork), at home (assignmentss/projects), and else where? Why do you think so? or Why not?

I don’t really know.  If you never ever lied to a teacher before than yeah the teacher should trust you and not treat you as if your not old enough to tell the teacher everything.  But if you lie to your teacher than she has a choice of trusting you or not.

3. What are your main complaints about school at this point in your life?

I don’t have any complaints, becasue St. John’s School is a school that teaches you and tells you to make your own desicions and they trust you the first time, but if you lie I don’t really think they’ll trust you unless you can prove to them that you’re trustworthy again.  I believe taht everybody in the world has at least once lied.  Well… I guess there are complaints, but it’s what every student will complain about… but that’s off the subject…so nevermind.

4. What are your main complaints about home at this point in your life?

At home, my mom doesn’t let me play internet as in myspace and things like that…but sometimes she lets me if I did everything she wanted me to do…so I guess that’s not a big problem…so besides that everything’s fine I guess…

5. What can you promise yourself that can make you a better person / a better student?

I don’t really know, but then I should be doing better in the tests and quizes area…and well I think that I shouldn’t rely on my parents too much and well…if my parents say no to something I guess I shouldn’t beg or ask a second time.  Unless it’s unfair and I should at least get to do that thing.

6. Do you think your friends can / should trust you with things (objects, secrets, etc.) Why do you think so? or Why not?

If it’s a huge secret and well sometimes I really forget to pay back something and it takes like days to remember.  I’m sorry for those things…but I’m just the kind of person who forgets things too easily!!!  To tell the truth I don’t really mean to tell secrets, but it just comes out.  Sometimes because i think the other person already knows or I just get too hyper about the secret…mostly though like who so and so (friends only) likes then I can keep it secret.

7. Do you think you need a lot of privacy in school / at home? Why or why not?

At school I get enough privacy and I don’t really need any privacy at school. Mostly because nothing personal happened at school yet.  At home…maybe since my parents always asks what I’m doing and for example who called and what were you discussing.  If it’s personal I say nothing important and if they would know sooner or later I do tell (but hardly).  I usually just say…nothing important…just school stuff.

This piture is not very ummm good, because I couldn’t really draw Mary and Joseph nicely. So since I couldn’t draw them well, I decided to just copy Jesus onto the drawing. And if you’re wondering what the thing in the back is when the shepherds uhhh saw the light and ya. This was pretty hard, because the pictures I got to get an idea of how to draw Mary and Joseph were hard to draw, so anyways here it is…:

I just finished my vehicle picture on GIMP.  It is a ship with an ocean view.  The hardest part was trying to make the ship not too big or too small.  I also found a picture on google with ocean view and so I also tried to make it alike, but I couldn’t.  I put a lot of windows on the ship, and I didn’t want to redraw each window so I just copied and pasted it.  I hope it’s okay looking, it was pretty hard.  The teacher assigned us to do any house vehicle, but then I kind of changed it to just any vehicle.

1. Do you like blogging or not?

I like blogging a lot, because you can post anything on it except for bad or nasty pictures and words.
2. Is blogging for students like you an important thing to do? Why? Why not?

It might not really be very important, because you just post about things you want to post about. It can be important if you want to report important information to other people.

3. What would you like to blog about?

I would like to blog about accidents or information about why that tragedy happened to tell people what their doing is wrong or not, but not being demanding just giving advice. Something like that. That’s why I like to answer moral dilemmas and ethical dilemmas.

4. Why should we blog about your suggestions?

My suggestion isn’t really important, it’s just that there are so many people who needs answers to their quesions and actions, but can’t tell any grown ups and other kids. So when we answer to the dilemmas then we’re probably helping others. I guess it’s pretty important.

5. Do you like our blogging activities? Why? Why not?

It’s okay, and it might help people in need of answers. It’s also fun blogging about what we made in GIMP or other places. When we blog the comments are all nice and there aren’t any bad comments.
6. What should we do with our current blogging activities?

I like it and I would like more dilemmas but it depends on if they’re hard to solve and I like drawing in GIMP, but most of the time I don’t like my work, but I have to post it anyway. But that’s okay, because I haven’t received any bad comments about it.

7. What else would you like to learn about in this quarter of computer applications? (Suggest 5 things.)

* I would like to put on questions for other people to solve that you might need help on so that you might get an answer that will help you

* I like to keep on making collages and then posting it

* To post things about yourself and what you like the most, what your hobby is, etc.

* To answer the quesions our teacher gives us on moral or ethical dilemmas.

* To post accidents and explain why it was bad and make a story to help solve the problem.

How do you like our LINUX computers so far?

I like it and it’s fun to blog and visit other people’s blogs. The computers are a bit slow but it’s fine and I like the sound of the keyboard and the feeling of the smoothness. I also like the programs on the computer and especially the GIMP!!!!

Today I finished my ocean view drawing. I used several different tools, especially the pencil tool. Today my level on K Touch is 5, because I started over some time ago. My speed about 251. I think that now I’ll draw a space ship and a car. Since I already drew a picture of an iPod in Graphic Arts class, I won’t do another one during 7th period class.

Today we typed for 10 minutes on K Touch and I went up a level: Level 2. That’s because I finished Level 15 and started over.  AFter that, the sub is now MRs. Pangalinin, told us to either go to K TURTLE or GIMP.  So I went onto the GIMP.  I finished my ocean view picture and I will blog it tomorrow. Today’s date is 11/6/2006.  We were quiet today, and unless people needed help, we hardly talked.

Today during Graphic design, I posted my flower collage because I forgot to do it last time. I’m still drawing my ipod and then maybe tomorrow I’ll be posting it. Also Mr. Walker came back today, so he’s our substitute again. I finished my Halloween things so I’ll post it after this one. Can we put band pictures on our ipod? We talk in class, but not too loudly and the teacher hasn’t complained, so I guess we’re okay.

My flower collage

All the pictures had to be 200 pixels by 200 pixels. Then I only make it 200 by 200 then I would copy and paste it on.

The reason I combined the two together is because we didn’t have a sub in graphic design and so we had to go to Mr. Yao’s room.

During 7th period class we typed for 10 minutes and my speed was soooo slow.(203) Then at 2:10, we explored the GIMP and I am doing ipod in Graphic, and ocean view in 7th period.  Now I’m blogging and when I’m done I’ll go back to the drawing!!!  Oh yeah and today we had another sub, Mrs. Pangilinan, because Mr. Walker wasn’t here! Also I’m on level 15 now for typing!!!!!!
